The better player sometimes doesn't win
That's life
Juz like how manu lost to manc
I was undone yest
Not because the guy was good
But because he played <<2words>>
"auntie style"(the type where the balls only reach the service line and are very high. something i haven't dealt with and prepared myself for cos i thought every1 will play spin or hard hitting which i think i can cope much better than auntie style)
And i was undone by my own doing
I was impatient
Always rushing to kill the point
Made VERY uncharecteristic misses
Frustration
Some totally crap serves
Dunno why everything juz wasn't going my way
Not braggin but anyone watching would have told you the better player din win
"That guy(me) is a much better player but what is he doing?" Some ang mor guy outside
I created chance after chance after chance but juz couldn't finish it.
Time and time again i came to the net in a perfect position to kill it
But what did i do?
Out
Into the net
Frustration
I killed myself
Shot myself in the foot
My serve was crap
Double faulted the whole of the 1st game
Nerves? Maybe but that's life
That affected my confidence i think
That's where my trouble started
A wrong decision to serve first
Juz cos i was hitting those 1st serves in during the warmup
I was frustrated
It should have been a match which i easily would and could have won
SHOULD. COULD.
EASILY
I aced with my 2nd serve
Hit about 6-7 winners
But that was useless as i squandered chance after chance that i created
IMPATIENCE
I know i've said this but juz wna say it again
I REALLLY KILLED MYSELF
SHOT MYSELF IN THE FOOT
He wasn't very good
Playing like and auntie and the strokes were kinda wrong
But somehow i couldn't kill
But it's nobody's fault but mine
The game was mine to lose
And i threw it away
I could so easily have been down at kallang today again
Might have even won 2day and qualified
All the "could's"
I undid myself
The scoreline was not justified
It was, to say the VERY least, unfair
The score was terrible
Unfair
Anyw i would like to comment on 3 ppl who i saw play during these 2 days
Firstly i would lk to say good try nick tan! u fought hard but erm i think the jap guy was a bit to meng yea? but nevertheless well done for winning the 1st match!
Secondly i would say well done feng juin for never giving up and fighting to the very end and giving the guy a though time
Lastly and most importantly, i would like to take my hat(if i had a proper hat) off to Han Shen for some of the best tennis i've seen him play before and for excellent work attitude/rate and fighting spirit. He really worked very hard against 2 very strong japanese opponents and it was unfortunate that he din progress. he fought valiantly against the 2nd guy despite being 1 set down and he rly worked the guy a lot. A good tennis player with and excellent fighting spirit. and not once did he get frustrated. Fantastic. Hence i take my hat off to you
I guess i'll try again in december.
