I am a magician.
I do magic.
I wish to entertain.
Entertainment through amazement.
And amazement doesn't make you look stupid.
Neither do I require you to make yourself look smart.
It's not a look of stupidity on your face. It's amazement.
Too bad you don't have a mirror.
Now, I try my best to do what I do. To entertain.
Receive a smile. See a face light up. After a hard, tiring day.
A clap or two. Enjoyment.
Not bitter attempts at making up for the inability to accept a sudden, short moment of impossibility.
Just an escape from the world of harsh reality.
And you have to slam right back to earth.
People watch for entertainment. People know it is impossible. But yet people still watch magic.
See a child, watch his face illuminate in wonder and fascination.
Why?
For they wish to experience that treasured moment when reality is veiled.
For they wish to enjoy the wonderment.
Why watch when all you want to do is simply to pierce that moment of impossibility?
What's worse. Spoiling that moment for others.
I don't mean to say that by doing so, I, the magician, will look bad.
I won't weep in a corner because you know how my trick is done.
In fact, I don't really care.
It has nothing to do with me.
You spoil it for yourself.
I repeat, I don't care.
But please, don't ruin it for the rest.
Please.
Don't you see the point?
Now, everyone out there who still wants to uncover the art, find me.
I'll reveal everything. No strings attached.

Quote frm yu quan's(or rather i think its yu quan's shared blog with some1 else) blog. feel that these words are quite poewrful. gena heckled again. was ALMOST successful with my trick until yea, ______ went to heckle. but this stuff happens. and i'm gna look at it with a positive attitude. people heckle u cos u r gd. they dno how its done so they heckle. i think appreciating magic is very important. its lk u see smth impossible. and you go and heckle. and u find out the secret and tts it. gone. spoilt. the effect is spoilt. hecklers spoil the trick for themselves. im sure if its a well known magician performing the same trick as i did and with the same quality, people(as in refering to classmates sch ppl...) wouldn't have heckled but appreciated it. accepted it as genious. accept the impossible. but it was me and hence they dare to fiddle with my deck, heckle do wadever it takes to find out. juz cos we're about the same age and somehow cant bring themselves to accept. but they are some okay ppl in class and those i know off though.
all the tennis ppl are gd. they dun heckle. most juz go "OH MY GOD" and that's it. sometimes the response is "how did you do it?" and they accept it when i say i cant tell them.
some ppl in class. you know who you are.
havent performed for tennis ppl in ages. probably going to soon.
anyw pday tmr. how? dom hasen't done a thing. he cant come online. our ppt nt ready. haven't sorted out who's doing wad. somehow we'll haf to find some way.
gena whacked in the chest by a ball while playing soccer 2day. pain like mad. the wind was lk knocked out of my lungs. we were abt to start a match with some ortus ppl then gena whacked but was ok. end up only played abt wad 2 mins? then rain. i think we could've won tt match though. had a 100% possesion in the 2 mins. HAHA.
